Entry requirements

Applicants who meet the minimum level of industry experience should have or expect to gain a good second class honours degree or above. Applicants with significant experience but who may not be in possession of a first degree are encouraged to apply to study on this programme. Applications to this programme must be supported by TWO references. An IELTS score of 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in each subtest) is required for participants for whom English is a second language.

Course content

The MBA Executive Development at The Liverpool Business School provides experienced professionals with the space, and level of contemporary expertise needed to fortify a career on the frontline of executive competition, creativity and commercial acumen.

  • Course can be completed over 18-36 months part-time, and 12 months full-time
  • Post-experiential MBA designed for participants with at least two years’ work experience
  • Delivered partly in blocks and in evenings for extra flexibility and to fit studies around existing commitments
  • Teaching informed by proprietary business research and academics’ close links to business
  • Customise your learning by choosing a range of option modules to complement and build-on the MBA’s core module set
  • The programme is based in Liverpool Business School’s Redmonds Building with dedicated postgraduate study facilities

This MBA has been designed for ambitious graduates and experienced managers, new to Higher Education, with the level of insight required to not only transform their modes of operation, but also that of the business they are in. We welcome applications from those who possess an applied understanding of commercial acumen and the drive to competitively progress into high-salaried positions of senior responsibility.

The programme is aimed at managers and professionals, with a minimum of two years’ relevant management experience, who wish to develop a portfolio of leadership skills and business competencies, through the application of frameworks, business models and theories derived from practical business experience, cutting-edge theories and academic texts.

This internationally recognised business qualification can be studied while in employment or full time. As well as stimulating your intellect, the MBA will develop new competencies that will enable you to progress beyond your current position.
