The minimum entry requirement for PhD applications is normally a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours Degree or equivalent. Professional or work experience in a field relevant to graduate study in the humanities may also be taken into account.
Months of entry
The PhD programme offers the possibility of a broad grounding in theories, methods and skills in the humanities and cultural studies combined with the production of a substantial piece of original research. Students on this full-time programme combine research work with an active programme of seminars in their three years of study, and are encouraged to get involved in additional activities, particularly in association with one or more of the constituent institutions, during the conduct of their research.
