You may be a BA graduate; or a practising artist who does not have formal academic qualifications. London Contemporary Dance School accepts equivalent professional experience in lieu of a first degree and we welcome applications from imaginative artists at all stages of their careers.
Months of entry
The Developing Artistic Practice programme is the pathway through our Postgraduate Diploma/MA in Contemporary Dance which caters for both established and emerging dance artists. Offering unrivalled flexibility, the programme allows you to focus on shaping and defining your individual artistic voice
Our students are from a wide range of backgrounds and create a bespoke programme catering to their own specific needs and interests with guidance from experienced mentors/supervisors.
Areas of study include:
- rehearsal direction
- dance and technology
- costume design
- a range of studio-based techniques
We also have a strong research community and as a student on the MA programme you will undertake two compulsory academic modules.
Depending on your prior experience, it is possible to specialise in a particular area (for example in choreography), or chose from a broader palette of options available.
You can choose to undertake this course full-time or part-time to fit around your existing career and commitments.
