About the Global Executive Master's programme

The Executive Global Master’s in Management is LSE’s cutting-edge alternative to an MBA. Combining intelligent critical thinking with real-world practice, this programme takes a fresh approach to the traditional MBA curriculum to keep pace with today's fast-changing world.

We take a broader view of the real business world, based on our excellence as the #3 ranked institution in the world for social science and management, and provide you with an understanding of the socio-economic and geo-political forces impacting businesses worldwide, and the intellectual tools to succeed with complex challenges in the rapidly changing global environment.

We provide experienced working professionals, with a required minimum of 3 years work experience in any industry, with a unique combination of intellectual skills, networks and practical abilities to achieve outstanding career success in management and leadership. Most students on the programme have 5+ years of professional experience, and some significantly more.

Teaching is conducted in a series of short, intensive classroom teaching modules. In between modules you can continue to live and work full-time in any location worldwide, meaning you don't need to take a career break or relocate in order to join the programme.

The modules are taught in London and two overseas locations (previous locations have included Beijing and Bangalore), giving you an exposure to contrasting regional business cultures in key global locations. You will learn alongside classmates from a diverse range of nationalities and backgrounds, enriching the cross-cultural learning experience. You will graduate equipped to succeed in business on a global scale.

Department of Management

The Department of Management ranks #3 in the world for social sciences and management (QS World University Rankings 2022) and #1 in the UK for research in business and management studies (REF 2014). The Department engages with people and organisations worldwide, across the private, public, and third sectors, who are motivated to improve the world through better understanding and practice of management.
