About the Course

The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networking top up degree is delivered online by NCC Education and is a natural progression from our Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Cyber Security. This final year is awarded by the University of Central Lancashire (abbreviated UCLan).

The programme aims to equip graduates with the knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills necessary for taking part in the design, implementation, management and security of modern computer systems. It will enable them to work as professionally minded cyber security practitioners able to meet the responsibilities and challenges demanded in the cybersecurity industry.

Course content

BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networking is offered online by NCC Education and is a logical progression from Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Cyber Security. The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) awards this final year degree. The program aims to provide graduates with the knowledge, technical skills, and interpersonal skills necessary for participation in the design, implementation, management, and security of modern computer systems.

  3. Full-time: 21 Months

Note: Our Industrial Training and Internship program includes a guaranteed 6 months paid internship (from 10 hours to 40 hours per week) with a technology company. Due to visa restrictions, some international students may not be able to participate in this program.

The Job Guarantee program is available only to candidates who enrol in Option 3 (Project and Industrial Training and Paid Internship Program). It is important to note, however, that the Job Guarantee program has its own selection criteria, so not everyone may be considered for the program. There is a constant evolution in the cyber security landscape, and organisations are finding it increasingly difficult to defend themselves against these ever-changing and persistent threats. Both businesses and government agencies must protect their systems and data from potential risks associated with these threats. As a result, there is a growing demand for qualified cyber security professionals.

The cyber security and networks degree program provides you with the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed to address these challenges.

The course aims to provide a fundamental understanding of how to protect organizations, networks, IT systems, and individuals from cyberattacks.

The faculty members of this program are actively engaged in cyber security research and have a substantial amount of experience in the application of security-related technologies in industry.

A new set of regulations and guidance has been published by the UK Council for International Student Affairs on 11 May 2021 regarding the assessment of fee status for international students. The fee status assessments will be conducted in accordance with this guidance.

In the event that you are an EU national and do not reside in the United Kingdom, you may be subject to overseas fees. Students with settled and pre-settled status in the UK and some other categories of students who work in the UK can qualify for Home fee status as long as they meet the residence criteria.

  • SQA HND Cyber Security

  • Any similar qualification approved by NCC Education and UCLan
