Course content

The NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC) is a qualification regulated by Ofqual. The qualification (with specialisations) constitutes the second year of the NCC Education degree journey and builds upon the knowledge gained during the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing (L4DC). Students will be exposed to more advanced topics, including database development, information systems analysis, network security and cryptography, in greater detail and with greater depth.

Note: Our Industrial Training and Internship program includes a guaranteed 6 months paid internship (from 10 hours to 40 hours per week) with a technology company. Due to visa restrictions, some international students may not be able to participate in this program.

JOB GUARANTEE PROGRAM

The Job Guarantee program is available only to candidates who enrol in Option 3 (Project and Industrial Training and Paid Internship Program). It is important to note, however, that the Job Guarantee program has its own selection criteria, so not everyone may be considered for the program. In the Level 4 Diploma, key modules will be examined in-depth, including computer systems and software, systems analysis and design, and management information systems. A foundational education in computer science will prepare you to enter a university degree program and pursue a career in the field.

This Level 4 Diploma will exempt you from completing units if you lack a traditional entry qualification. This is an OFQUAL-regulated qualification that is recognised in the UK and will enable you to pursue higher education in a shorter time frame. All units will be discussed extensively in the course, and you will gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of computing.

This qualification will make you a competitive force in the IT industry, as well as a valuable asset for IT enterprises. It is the most flexible and effective method of obtaining a top-up qualification and entering University immediately. This certification will enhance your educational profile. This qualification provides a pathway to a Level 5 Diploma in Computing, which provides entry into the third year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing.

A new set of regulations and guidance has been published by the UK Council for International Student Affairs on 11 May 2021 regarding the assessment of fee status for international students. The fee status assessments will be conducted in accordance with this guidance.

In the event that you are an EU national and do not reside in the United Kingdom, you may be subject to overseas fees. Students with settled and pre-settled status in the UK and some other categories of students who work in the UK can qualify for Home fee status as long as they meet the residence criteria.
