Entry requirements

Although applicants normally require a first degree (usually at least a 2:2) or HND, in a relevant subject and a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in a relevant field to undertake postgraduate study, we recognise that many people have a wealth of valuable skills and knowledge developed at work or through training. If you have the potential to succeed in postgraduate or post-experience studies, we will consider your application on its individual merits.

Course content

There are four dimensions of study upon which a core basis of reading is established and through which projects are tutored and assessed at each stage. The dimensions are: Reflexive Practice; Digital Technologies; Active Learning; and Real World Contexts. In addition to the project, students are required to write a dissertation. This may or may not be linked to their project in terms of its theme or area of interest. Students have access to London South Bank's digital media laboratories, with production facilities in digital photography and soundscaping, Avid digital editing, interactive new media and new media writing.
