Course content

The Professional Doctorate in Education is designed to provide experienced professionals from education and related fields with the opportunity to pursue a programme of Doctoral level studies that is relevant to their professional interests and needs. The aim of the EdD is to enable students to examine, engage critically with, plan and conduct research within a professional context, and to meet the requirements of rigour and originality expected of a doctorate. It includes assessed taught courses and supervised original research.
The programme is part-time, comprising 2 years taught course followed by 2 to 5 years independent research.
