Entry requirements

Applicants should be registered nurses with 5 years' experience, working a minimum of 15 hours a week and should normally possess a masters degree. Applicants with other qualifications who can demonstrate equivalent experience and academic preparedness may also be considered for entry.

Course content

The programme comprises three taught units delivered in years one and two followed by the doctoral dissertation conducted over years three to five.
This programme has been developed for practitioners who have or intend to pursue professional careers, for example, Nurses Consultants; Advanced Nurse Practitioners; Clinical Nurse Specialists; Practice Development Nurses; Senior Nurse Managers and Lecturer Practitioners.
