Course content

Gain the knowledge and practical skills needed for an impactful career in management or consultancy on this one-year master’s taught by leading academics in the field.

Successful organisations depend on managers who can make strategic decisions, communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders, and are capable of handling and analysing large volumes of information. This takes a broad understanding of business along with a strong suite of interpersonal skills.

This MSc Management is ideal if you have a non-business undergraduate degree and are looking to transition into a management career. Alternatively, if you’re from a business background, you can use it to deepen your management skills and gain a recognised qualification.

Explore some of today’s most pressing business challenges

You’ll spend your first semester exploring the key areas of business, including human resource management, accounting and financial management, operations management and marketing. You can then choose modules that match your areas of interest in semester two.

Throughout the programme there’s a focus on current day issues and global challenges such as climate change and sustainability, ethical requirements, different models of capitalism, inequities, and corporate social responsibility in areas like the global supply chain.

In your final semester, you’ll conduct an in-depth analysis of an ethical business with a purposeful mission at its core. This, together with access to the latest research from Loughborough’s internationally recognised academics, means you’ll graduate with real-world insights so you can go on to make a positive difference, whatever sector you choose to work in.

Graduate ready to put your skills into action

By the end of the programme, you’ll have a critically aware understanding of management along with the practical skills needed to address complex management issues, improve practice, and meet the challenges of today’s fast-paced business world.
