Loughborough Design School is home to around 60 PhD students and over 110 staff who are proud to be part of a very friendly and collegiate environment. We are based in a purpose built £21m building opened in 2011.
Our expertise and teaching is built on the design principles of aesthetics, technology and understanding the user.
The School has a wealth of state-of-the-art facilities including a variety of software, workshops and laboratories including research facilities such as eye-tracking, driving simulators, additive manufacturing machines and ergonomics testing and facilities.
Our academic staff are internationally renowned experts in their fields. These staff bring a diverse mix of specialisms and backgrounds to the School which our PhD students benefit from immensely. The Design School is all about using design to change the world for the better.
