Entry requirements

An honours degree in economics, business (with a strong quantitative component), finance, mgt science, operations research, maths, physics, or engineering.

Applicants from other disciplines will also be considered provided that at least introductory modules in economics and an introduction to quantitative subjects such as calculus and statistics have been studied.

From the start of the programme, you'll dig into the foundations of financial economics and economic data analysis. You’ll go on to explore the actions of governments, firms, households and intermediaries in national and global money, and bond and foreign exchange markets, supported by real-world insights from our teaching staff of renowned academics and experts from industry.

The second semester is a chance for you to delve deeper into industry-relevant topics, such as modern corporate finance, international money and finance, and applied financial econometrics. An optional module allows you to shape your degree around an area you’re most interested in, such as portfolio management or cryptocurrencies.
