Entry requirements

An honours degree (good 2:2 of 55% or above) or equivalent international qualification in a non-finance discipline. Evidence of quantitative proficiency, through the study of mathematical or statistical subjects in your first degree, is required.

If you already hold a finance degree, you are instead encouraged to apply for one of our specialist finance master's programmes.

Our MSc Finance and Management programme is designed to fast-track the careers of graduates from non-finance backgrounds who want to pursue a career in financial management for commercial and non-commercial organisations.

MSc Finance and Management is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); the world's largest body of management accountants. It offers at least 6 exemptions from CIMA's professional examinations. This is strong recognition of the professional relevance of this programme for students wishing to work in the Finance function of a business or multinational organisation.‌

You will develop an understanding of business and management by studying across a range of areas, including marketing, HR, accounting, strategic management and, in particular, finance. Your financial knowledge and skills will be further developed within accounting and finance modules.

You will benefit from the expertise of our renowned research-active academics, to help you develop your knowledge and analytical skills in finance-relevant fields, and ensure that you will graduate with the essential skills sought by employers.
