Our MRes in Media and Creative Industries gives you the opportunity to develop your critical thinking and analytic abilities to prepare you for a career as a researcher.

Studying an MRes with the Institute for Media and Creative Industries will give you a fascinating introduction into the life of a postgraduate researcher. Alongside traditional postgraduate teaching of the discipline, our MRes in Media and Creative Industries has been carefully designed to also incorporate rigorous research and analytical training, to prepare you for a postgraduate research degree or high-level researcher position within your chosen sector or field.
You will acquire in-depth training in the conduct and management of research, from its inception to its completion and dissemination. This will enable you to explore and reflect on your developing research skills in the context of your research interests.

Information for international students

English Language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each subtest (Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking) or equivalent.
