You will normally have a good undergraduate honours degree in any subject. If you have a different background, you may be admitted if you have completed degree relevant qualifications or have relevant management experience.

Important notice

The University has been reviewing its campus at Crewe and considering whether or not to continue to offer the suite of courses currently on offer. Several options for the future of the campus have been under consideration.

One of the options was to withdraw from the campus – meaning the University would cease to operate from the campus in Crewe from Summer 2019 onwards – and, after full and careful consideration, the University is now pursuing this recommended option.

Further consultation needs to take place, meaning withdrawal from the campus is not yet a final decision. The final decision on the future of the campus will be made in the Spring Term 2017.

We can confirm that we are taking and processing applications for full time postgraduate courses and any part time courses of two years in duration starting in 2017 on the Cheshire Campus. However, with regard to longer part time postgraduate courses, due to the ongoing review, the University will accept applications for courses delivered at Cheshire but will not process those applications until more is known in respect of the future of the campus.

Designed as a flexible programme to accommodate your employment and personal circumstances, this course has been devised to enhance your practical marketing management skills. With an additional focus on deepening your understanding of the core concepts and competencies that underpin this increasingly important business area, this course provides you with an opportunity to combine marketing experiences with theory.
This programme ensures development of both personal and professional skills and knowledge through four core units while your marketing expertise will be developed through three marketing electives and a specialised research project culminating in the production of a dissertation.

You will be assessed continually through a series of case study presentations and written assignments. Your dissertation will usually be based on empirical research.
