You would normally have a good UK honours degree preferably in a related field (e.g. sport, education, history, sociology). For this unique masters programme, we also encourage applicants from mature students, with a wealth of experience of historical scholarship and an interest in future exploring the importance of the past with the capacity to work at master’s level.
Months of entry
MA Exercise and Sport (Sport and Leisure History) provides a focus for research into nineteenth and twentieth century sport and leisure, and is actively engaged in employing all historical approaches, including oral history, biography, and prosopography, to uncover the individual and collective lives of the men and women involved in sporting and leisure activities.
