Entry requirements

You’ll need a good UK honours degree – at least a 2:2 – or the international equivalent. We may also consider your application if you do not meet the degree requirements, but have substantial experience in people management.

Overseas applicants will require IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in any category, or an equivalent accepted English qualification. Accepted English qualifications can be viewed here.

Course content

People are at the heart of Human Resources (HR). The field covers a wide range of areas – from recruitment and retention to wellbeing and resource management. At Manchester Met, we’ll prepare you for work in this exciting and fast-paced environment.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). You’ll develop the skills you need to work across a variety of HR roles and gain a solid understanding of business operations to put your work into context.

The MSc or PgDip in HRM will give you full exemption for the CIPD’s Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HRM.
