Course content

This flexible, modular programme is designed to meet the needs of a range of Health Care Professionals. With entry points throughtout the year we deliver a diverse selection of multi-professional units, including: research, mentorship and leadership - as well as units specific to subjects such as nursing, medicine and public health. Once successfully completed, units can be 'banked' for a future Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) contribution to other degree courses - undergraduate or postgraduate - as appropriate. We also provide specific short courses such a Nurse Prescriber and Non - Medical prescribing.

The CPD programme is designed to meet the needs of a range of Health and Social Care Professionals and units are offered at level 5, 6 or 7. Units start at regular times throughout the year. We deliver a diverse selection of multi-professional units that includes: evidence-based practice, mentorship and leadership – as well as units specific to subjects such as nursing, medicine and public health.

• Return to Practice • Non-Medical Prescribing • Community Practitioner Nurse Prescribing • Mentor Preparation • Practice Teacher

The Modular programme provides a flexible, accessible learning opportunity for you to fulfil personal or professional development needs and interests. Additionally, it can enable access to other degree courses.

Special Features:

  • You can select the units that you wish to study according to your personal interest, your professional development needs or at the request of your employer.
  • The course includes a number of professional units, including non-medical prescribing, supporting learning and teaching in practice (including preparation for mentorship), the overseas nurses unit and return to practice.
  • Once successfully completed, units can be banked for future Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) contribution to other degree courses (undergraduate or postgraduate) as appropriate.
