Course content

Created in conjunction with strategic health service partners, our new part-time Masters in Medicine (MMed) is designed for foundation level doctors.

Our course allows you to study and practice, so that you have a toolkit of skills that you can apply to your future career.

You’ll study core units such as Leadership in Clinical Care Settings and Evidence-Based Practice to provide you with transferrable skills, for whichever career choice you make in the future.

You’ll also study a clinical unit entitled Acute Medical Emergencies, which gives you an introduction to the management of common emergencies.

In year three, you’ll complete an Independent Study unit, focusing on a subject related to your chosen speciality. In your final year, your Project in Practice can be used to support your application for speciality training.
