Entry requirements

This course will normally admit students with a good UK honours degree or international equivalent in a design or humanities related discipline. It is designed to allow students with a keen interest in the fashion industry to acquire a postgraduate qualification in a media and communications related area.

Course content

The MA International Fashion Journalism course is an exciting addition to the University’s portfolio of postgraduate courses and has been developed collaboratively across the Department of Apparel and the Department of Journalism, Information and Communications.

The aim of the programme is to develop professional fashion journalists who can communicate to a variety of audiences through a range of national and international media. The course embraces not only the written word but encompasses the diverse possibilities of contemporary fashion journalism and its global context. The course is establishes professional journalism principles and covers keys areas of multiplatform fashion journalism, which enables you to produce well-written and researched content for the web, print and broadcast media.
