You will have a qualifying law degree or GDL, or exemption granted by the Solicitors Regulations Authority (SRA).

If you intend to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales you need to look at the SRA website for the requirements to enter the profession. If you intend to practise in another jurisdiction you will need to find out the requirements to do so.
