Normally at least a second class Honours Degree from a recognised university or the equivalent in a recognised subject area, together with proficiency in English Language (IELTS 6.5). Maturity and experience may also be considered.

Course contentThe aim of this programme is to develop a critical and analytical approach to the study of Islam Education. Compulsory modules are: Islamic Education: Theory and Practice; Developing Research Strategies in Islamic Education; Educational Studies: An Introduction; Dissertation. Optional modules include: Islamic Sources: Qur'an and Sunnah; Muslims in Britain; modules chosen from other MA programmes.
