Entry requirements

The degree is targeted at high quality undergraduate students who have obtained at least a 2.1 degree in Economics or a related subject. Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level. Certain programmes may have additional requirements. Course content

The MA in Economics is structured to provide a diverse and challenging education. The emphasis is on ‘education’ with graduates encouraged to think for themselves and become proficient in problem solving. The programme provides students with the essential concepts and methods of economics before proceeding to apply these tools in the specialised field courses. Successful graduates attain economic, quantitative and communication skills that are highly sought by employers in the public and private sectors. These skills are easily transferable to other career paths, leading to many and varied career opportunities.
