Course contentTrainees will spend virtually the whole of the 36 week course in school observing, team teaching and eventually teaching whole lessons.
The programme looks to combine theory with practice and while most of the time is spent in a placement school, trainees also undertake weekly general professional studies sessions as well as weekly subject studies sessions. These sessions encourage the trainee to consider the wider issues of secondary school teaching in relation to such things as current educational issues and up-to-date ideas on techniques for teaching their specialist subject area.
