Entry requirements

  • An upper second (2:2) honours degree or above, or equivalent in mental health or addictions or a related subject area
  • A minimum of two years experience in the mental health or addiction fields if holding a professional qualification in nursing, social work or allied discipline
  • A professional qualification (e.g. medicine, nursing, social work, psychology or an allied discipline)
  • Recent post-qualification experience of working with service users with mental health and substance use issues

Non-mental health professionals

  • An upper second (2:2) honours degree or above, or equivalent from a recognised overseas qualification, in mental health or addictions or a related subject area
  • Three years experience in the mental health field or addiction field or in a relevant setting (statutory/non-statutory/third sector/voluntary)
