Entry requirements

For participating in the training programme Certificate in Coaching – AC Accredited, the candidate should have the following conditions: a degree from any kind of higher education or working experience.

Course content

The Certificate in Coaching – AC Accredited training programme, offers professional knowledge in Coaching. More concrete based on a balanced combination between the scientific knowledge and the practical approach, the training programme offers the necessary skills, techniques tools, coaching models and coaching practice for the creation of Professional Coaches based on the international standards and implementations. The combination of the scientific approach, the high levels of the practice are in parallel with the international standards of the Association of Coaching and other international bodies.

The training programme is more than 100 hours and it also has more than 26 hours of coaching practice, outside classroom. Furthermore it is estimated that the time for the study needed – including the time for assignments – is more than 100 hours too. Every participant has the necessary training hours for those who wish to be credentialed at the levels of Executive & Professional Coach // Professional Executive Coach Accreditation by the Association for Coaching. Besides the accredited training, working hours will be needed based on the AC standards.

Programme Description

Module 1: Introduction – Theory – Qualifications //Lesson: 1-2-3

-Key-philosophies, theories and movements, that have influenced coaching
-Coaching and other professions
-The Coach and its qualifications
-Self Directed Learning

Module 2 : Defining the coaching field // Lesson: 1-2

-The definition and role of the AC competencies.
-Legal and ethical issues on the coaching process and strategies for risk reduction

Module 3 : Knowing ourselves // Lesson: 1-2-3

-Various existential schools of thought.
-The basis of the existence & the basis of our self-perception and self-knowledge, beliefs, functional-dysfunctional, underlying beliefs.
-Principles and values: definition, importance, consciousness, change.
-The process of knowing & understanding my own self based on various objective (scientific methods) and non objective (practical) – perceptions - the understanding of my own self on the basis of our internal perception and the reality
-Personal SWOT analysis, self development, self-completion.

Module 4 : Developing Coaching Skills Lesson: 1-8

-the effective communication model, the concept of communication, understanding, and its utilization in the professional, social and personal life - communication tools
-the importance and the development of listening skills , the levels of listening, the creation of a good listener, the non verbal communication, listening barriers
-the power of questions in the coaching process : asking questions and receiving answers, creating a to-the point- question in depth answer analysis in clients favor, various types of questions
-the meaning and the use of the rapport in coaching meetings with clients. How can a coach build rapport with its clients and how to use it in their favor?
-the meaning and the use of structures in the coaching process in the clients favor
-helping the clients to create a visions or action plan
-the power and the use of acknowledgement
-the right ways to keep clients accountable

Module 5 : Coaching Models // Lesson 1-11

-the module presents, defines and gives practical steps for understanding, using and implementing the Grow, Personal Brilliance and targets planning and achievement models for finding and achieving through concrete steps and in concrete time & cost the desiring goals

Module 6 : Frameworks and Theories // Lesson 1-4

-the module presents an introduction and understanding of often complex theories in a quite simple approach. The student discovers some of the key theories and philosophies, that have influenced coaching, and still do.
-the student also learns how each of these theories can be practically applied to coaching. More concrete :

o NeuroLinguistic Programming
o Emotional Intelligence
o Mindfulness
o Appreciative Inquiry

Module 7: Coaching meeting // Lesson 1-2

-coaching meeting, the rules between the client and the coach, the agreement, the results orientation, the beginning of the session.
-presentation and analysis of the coaching session in details and in depth. How does a coach treat? What and how does he/she asks analyze them and help the client to solve the problem. Set up client expectations, measure and receive feedback from clients managing difficult or challenging clients.
