Entry requirements

The number of places is limited. You should have an honours primary degree (at least Second Class Honours in one subject, or a US GPA 3.2). We also welcome applicants with substantial, relevant professional experience to apply. Such cases may be considered for exemption from the honours degree requirement, subject to appropriate arrangements such as a qualifying examination. These students will be required to register initially for a postgraduate diploma. Your application should include: a sample/description of previous digital work; two ideas (short outlines/sketches) for digital media projects.

Course content

The MA in Digital Media provides advanced creative and technical education in digital media within a supportive educational environment.

Students are given practical training across a range of digital media practices, including Emerging Web Media, E-Learning, and 3D Modelling, whilst also developing their creative, critical and entrepreneurial skills within small-group classes.

The MA in Digital Media is a unique interdisciplinary programme, delivered by combining expertise from the Huston School of Film and Digital Media, the discipline of Information Technology, and the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI).

Classes contain a mix of graduates from relevant academic backgrounds and industry professionals who want to develop or extend existing skills.
