Entry requirements

The programme is open to candidates who have obtained an Honours degree (level 8) (minimum Second Class). Note that candidates who hold such a degree and an accredited Higher/Postgraduate Diploma in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) may be eligible to transfer directly into Year 2 (contact Programme Director for details). GPA 3.0 or equivalent. IELTS score of 6 or equivalent, if applicable.

Course content

This two-year MSc is aimed at candidates with little/no I.T. experience. The first year follows the normal academic cycle of lectures, laboratory sessions, and tutorials on software design/development principles, techniques and tools, as well as group/individual projects. Time will also be spent developing research interests/skills to prepare for second year.
