Entry requirements

Candidates applying for admission to the MSW Programme must have completed an undergraduate degree (minimum of second class Honours, Grade 2) in a BA or B.Soc.Sc. with social policy. Voluntary or paid work experience is essential. An equivalent of one year's experience obtained from a human service organisation serving public and social service users is required.

Course content

The MA (Social Work) (MSW) is a vocational postgraduate qualification and professional training in social work. The programme is fully accredited by the National Social Work Accreditation Board. The MSW will enable successful graduates to work as a generalist social worker in a variety of statutory and non-governmental social work organisations.
