Designed to provide advanced understanding and critical awareness of key theoretical and policy issues pertaining to contemporary environment-society relations. To this end, the course involves engagement with a number of core areas in critical human geography, including issues of geopolitics, development, governance and political ecology. Touching a variety of themes and working to develop critical and applied solutions, the MA programme exposes students to vital global challenges that encompass a complex and dynamic mesh of environmental, social, political and economic processes.
