Candidates must hold at least a Second Class Honours primary degree in Science or a related subject, with an appropriate background in Biological Sciences. Candidates with three years relevant and appropriate industrial experience may also be considered.

Course contentThis course focuses on the adaptation and application of biological processes for commercial and industrial use. Training in scientific concepts and techniques and
business fundamentals are provided during the first two semesters. A laboratory-based research project will be undertaken in the spring and summer months.
