Entry requirements

HDip: Must be entered on the General Division of the Register maintained by An Bord Altranais (RGN). Post-registration experience is desirable. Students must meet the normal minimal educational requirements for admission. MHSc: Have attained at least an upper Second Class Honours degree in Nursing/ Midwifery, or Nursing/ Midwifery Studies at H2.1 or at H2.2 with appropriate experience or a Higher Diploma in Midwifery with appropriate experience; or meets required standard in the MHSc Nursing Qualifying Examination; Be on the active Register as a midwife; Have practised as a midwife for a minimum of two years post-registration (exclusive of post-registration/educational programmes).
