Entry requirements

The NCH Admissions Team prefers to look at you as an individual and at your potential to thrive at the College. Entry requirements for postgraduate study at NCH consists of a reference and a personal statement.

References and personal statements are critical for assessing your potential to flourish. Your reference, if possible, should come from an academic contact, generally someone who has advised a dissertation or with whom you’ve closely worked.

Offers are normally made to applicants holding an upper second-class honours undergraduate degree (or equivalent). Each applicant will be assessed on an individual basis, and we are happy to consider applicants who have been out of education for a while, who have equivalent professional experience etc.

NCH welcomes applications from mature students and will individually work with you to ensure you submit the strongest application possible.

Course content

The MSc Global Politics programme engages clearly with dominant issues of global politics. At programme level it addresses more specifically the theme of global citizenship. The rationale, therefore, is to offer a programme that helps candidates from a variety of backgrounds (pathway undergraduate humanities, early career professionals with sufficient prior qualifications) to develop structured, exploratory, in-depth, and applied knowledge of this vibrant field.

Please note, international students who require a visa are not eligible for part-time study.
