Course content
The MSc in Psychotherapy Studies is an online programme-- study materials, learning resources, and intensive tutor support are all provided online. No travel is required.
It is a course of theoretical study that meets all the academic requirements of the European Certificate for Psychotherapy, but it does not provided any of the practical training required and so it is not a practice qualification. It has been tailored to suit those who already have a professional qualification with UKCP or BACP and who wish to add a Masters degree to their qualifications. Students who complete the course satisfactorily are eligible to be awarded an MSc by Midddlesex University.
It also provides an ideal theoretical basis for those who are meeting the experiential psychotherapy training requirements with a separate UKCP training organization. NSPC is currently establishing associations with a number of counselling and psychotherapy-training programmes, which will provide the clinical training aspects and who will rely on NSPC to provide their candidates with the theoretical part of their training and their Masters qualification.
