Course content

Global health is a rapidly expanding area of health research, service delivery and policy. This course is for those who wish to pursue a career in this field whether in government, the voluntary sector, health care delivery or global health research, policy, health service delivery or academic health care.

Health is now on multiple global agendas. Examples include the significant increase in development assistance for health since 1980; rising concern about the burden of non-communicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries; and the identification of progress towards universal health coverage as a specific target under the Sustainable Development Goals.
