Entry requirements

A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in structural, aerospace or civil engineering, physics or mathematics. We will also consider your application on an individual basis if you have lower or non-standard qualifications and relevant professional experience.

Course content

The Structural Engineering MSc aims to provide you with the advanced conceptual understanding, detailed factual knowledge, and specialist technical skills that are required for success in an engineering-based consultancy business.
This course is research informed and industrially focused, helping you to develop your knowledge and understanding of how business opportunities are identified and pursued within the civil and structural engineering sector.

Information for international students

To study this course you need to meet our Band 6 English Language requirements: Direct Entry: IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-skills). If you have lower English Language scores, you may be accepted onto a Pre-sessional English Language course.
