Course content

A two year programme designed for experienced Counsellors and Psychotherapists who are looking to deepen and extend their knowledge, engage in research, and develop expertise in a chosen specialist area.

Key points:

  • Can be built into Diploma in Psychotherapy route to UKCP Psychotherapist registration
  • Option to exit with PGDip qualification at the end of taught year or progress to complete MSc Dissertation
  • Length of course: 2 years+ (1 year taught PGDip, 1 year or more for MSc dissertation)
  • Primary mode of study: Part-time, Weekend
  • Location: Newcastle Training Centre
  • Specialism: Both Adult or Child & Adolescent specialisms available
  • Fees: Cost-effective compared to other MSc courses
  • Accreditation: PGDip/MSc course validated by Newman University
