Entry requirements

Applicants will normally be expected to have a good honours degree in an art, media, or design discipline (with a 1st or 2:1 classification), those with a good honours degree in a related subject may also be considered. Alternatively you must have substantial experience working within an appropriate area of motion graphics, animation, or time-based art. All applicants must be computer literate and should be familiar with image processing animation and motion graphics software Applicants not meeting these criteria will be considered on an individual basis depending on the strength of their application and experience

Course content

Animation, motion graphics and other forms of digital time-based design are in great demand within the film, television, computer games and new media industries.

This programme is industry facing and allows you to reach a high level of technical capability, whilst simultaneously encouraging experimentation and creative thinking. You will study topics including film theory and aesthetics, animation production methods and undertake a major project module, allowing you to produce a significant piece of work.

Upon graduation you will be well prepared for exciting roles in the creative industries such as film post-production

Information for international students

Students whose first language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum score in each component of 5.5. Pearson Academic score of 62 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 51
