Course content

This exciting course leads to the internationally recognised award of Master of Public Administration (MPA). The course examines the role of the public manager in the twenty-first century in relation to the rapidly changing public service environment and the challenges posed for the effective management of policy and service delivery.

Throughout the course you will analyse significant key developments in public management including partnership working, new patterns of governance, reshaping of service provision and mechanisms for evaluating and scrutinising the delivery of services. Staff teaching the course have a range of expertise in the sector and extensive teaching experience.

Information for international students

Students whose first language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum score in each component of 5.5. Pearson Academic score of 62 (or above) with a minimum score in each component of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking of 51.
