Course content

Are you looking to complement your undergraduate studies with a business-focused master’s degree that will enhance your employability? This two-year course develops broad business and management skills while also offering a specialist pathway in finance.

The first year is the same as MSc Business with Management. You’ll then undertake a second year that develops the ‘Finance’ pathway. Specialist modules will cover topics like corporate financial management and international financial markets and institutions.

You’ll develop your research skills through a master’s dissertation or an investigative consultancy project related to an issue faced by a real client. You’ll also explore contemporary issues in management research.

There is no requirement to have studied business, management or finance at undergraduate level.

The course is covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School, which was ‘Business School of the Year’ at The Times Higher Education Awards 2015.
