Entry requirements

Entrants should normally have achieved a BA (Hons) / BSc Degree of 2:1 or above (or its equivalent), in a subject related to your proposed course of study.

Applicants who hold a Degree from another discipline may also be considered for entry, subject to the submission of a satisfactory portfolio of art, design or media-related work in support of their application.

The offer of entry onto a Masters Degree (MA) is based on an expectation that you have the potential to fulfil the aims of the course of study and achieve the standard required to successfully complete the award.

Develop your signature style and explore the conceptual contexts of your work on our MA Fashion Masters degree course.

If you’re ready to test the boundaries of what fashion means in the 21st century and push your personal and professional philosophy to new limits, this postgraduate fashion course will provide the ideal platform.

Your compelling creative voice will emerge as you work with different materials and processes.

Your practice will embrace digital, technological and cultural innovation as you develop a clear understanding of how to use promotion and platforms to showcase your work.

Expert studio technicians will support your exploration of bespoke tailoring; experimental cutting and draping methods; the traditions and craft of haute couture; hand and machine finishing techniques; and the use of contemporary technologies.

The course is delivered via a mix of formal taught sessions, independent research and collaborative learning. Visiting industry guests provide unique insight into current debates in the fashion industry.

Postgraduate Masters Loan of up to £10,609

For 2018, UK nationals and those who have been resident in England for three years may be eligible to apply for a government loan of up to £10,609 towards course fees or living costs. Part time and EU students may also be eligible.
