A good UK honours degree (minimum 2.1) in a relevant discipline. An MA in a relevant discipline can also be helpful in some areas.

Course content
There are several members of staff with a range of specialisms. A growing community of postgraduate researchers exists, supervised by members of the English team, who are all active publishing researchers. Compulsory research practice course.
Information for international students
IELTS 6.5 required by applicants whose first language is not English.

Applications are invited for MPhil. or PhD. PhD students must first enter at MPhil level and then transfer to PhD if applicable. PhD direct may be permitted if student holds relevant MA.
