A good UK honours degree (minimum 2.1) in a relevant discipline. An MA in a relevant discipline can also be helpful.

Course content
The German section has a broad range of expertise on 20th century German studies, including the Weimar republic, Natiaonal Socialism and East and West Germany. The section is strongly interdisciplinary in focus and investigates links between culture and politics, culture and society, historiography and literature cultural theory and literature, etc.
Compulsory research practice course to be attended.

IELTS 6.5 required by applicants whose first language is not English.
