Entry requirements

MPhil/MPhil with possibility of transfer to PhD -first or second class honours degree from UK university, or equivalent overseas degree. PhD -Master's degree from UK university, or equivalent overseas Masters, in a subject appropriate to the proposed research. Applicants not holding these qualifications considered on their merits -professional experience, publications.

Course content

The Business School has an average of 50 MPhil/PhD students on its Research Degrees Programme, including a strong international element with students from Malaysia/Libya/Zimbabwe/Thailand/Korea/China/Japan/Canada/Czech Republic - spanning 22 countries in total. The Business School has recently received ESRC Training Recognition (only 4 new universities in Business & Management have this).

Information for international students

Applicants whose first language is not English: IELTS 7 with a minimum of 6.5 in the written element, TOEFL 600, or computer-based TOEFL 250.

University Bursaries, Industry Sponsorship-Knowledge Transfer Partnership, Economic and Social Research Council for both 1+3 (Masters plus PhD) and +3(PhD only).
