Entry requirements
You need to apply for an ITT course through UCAS Teacher Training for either a PGCE or School Direct route into teaching. The training provider will identify the need to enhance your subject knowledge before commencing ITT. They will make SKE a condition of their ITT offer for the following academic year.

Course content
If you would like to become a teacher, but do not have the relevant degree requirements, completion of a subject knowledge enhancement course will provide sufficient knowledge and experience to progress onto an initial teacher-training course.
Fees and funding
SKE courses are fully funded by the Department for Education and Home UK, and EU full-time students will receive a tax free bursary of up to £200 per week for the duration of the course (subject to confirmation by DfE).
