Pursuant to the New Qualification Regime for Patent Attorney and Trade Mark Attorney Litigators, IPReg expects every newly qualified attorney to have attended and passed a basic litigation course within three years of qualification. Nottingham Law Schools Basic Litigation course is a five day course for Patent Attorneys. The course is accredited by IPReg and will be assessed by a two hour written paper and a 15 minute advocacy assessment approximately 4-6 weeks following the course. Success in the assessment entitles candidates to apply to IPReg for the Intellectual Property Litigation Certificate.
