Entry requirements

A UK honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a relevant Chemistry-related subject including Forensic Science, Pharmacology and Pharmacy. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.

This course provides the advanced knowledge, skills and attributes required for a career in chemistry and its sub-disciplines.

The course is of particular interest for those who want to improve their skills and knowledge base and students who wish to obtain a solid foundation for a PhD.

The MRes in Advanced Materials Engineering is an excellent postgraduate training opportunity for students wishing to have an education in some of the hot topics of Materials Chemistry, delivered by internationally renowned scientists.
