Course content

The Statistics Group is housed in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (the last time statistics was assessed separately from mathematics) was lauded as one of the top 20 statistics research groups in the UK. Research interests include methodological development and applications of statistics in all areas, including medicine, ecology, energy, environment, social science, the behavioural sciences, traffic networks and archaeology.
