Course content

The Philosophy discipline welcomes applications for graduate work in history of philosophy of science. We are fortunate in having one of the authorities in the area, Cristina Chimisso, who, in addition to numerous articles, has published a monograph on Gaston Bachelard (Routledge, 2001) and a monograph on the history of philosophy of science in France in the twentieth century (Writing the History of the Mind: Philosophy and Science in France 1900 to 1960s (Ashgate, 2008)).

Research and research students are at the heart of the discipline. In joining us, you would join a lively and friendly graduate community. The discipline hosts papers by visiting speakers throughout the year, and an annual graduate conference at which students give papers on their work in progress.
