Applicants should have minimum qualifications of an upper second class honours degree 2:1 and usually a specialist masters in a subject relevant to the intended study with a strong research element.

The Department of Accounting and Finance (DAF) is keen to invite doctoral students are excited to contribute to the innovative and impact-oriented research in various areas in accounting and finance.

The members of the department have substantial expertise in several research areas including:

  • venture capital and private equity, innovation finance, public sector finance and risk management
  • corporate governance and corporate financing
  • the role of ethics and culture in finance

  • understanding risk disclosures

  • political economy of finance.
